The Chief of Staff to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state
Alhaji Aminu Ringim has resigned from the cabinet to pursue political ambition.
The resignation was confirmed by the governor Lamido’s
spokesman Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Kafin-Hausa. He said two other aides of the
governor have resigned their appointment.
They are Alhaji Umar Danjani Hadeijia who resigned as
Special Assistant on Students matters to the governor. He was nominated to
contest for the Hadeijia constituency in the state House of Assembly while
Alhaji Sani Yau Babura resigned his appointment as Commissioner II at the Dutse
Capital Development Agency (DCDA) to contest for the House of representative
seat representing Babura /Garki Federal constituency.
It is not yet clear what position the Chief of Staff will
contest for having spent 16 years as Chief of Staff to both Governor Saminu
Turaki and Governor Sule Lamido.
