A five-year-old boy suffering possible Ebola symptoms is
being tested at New York's Bellevue Hospital after returning from a trip to
West Africa.
The child was reportedly vomiting and had a 103-degree
temperature as emergency medical workers wearing protective hazmat suits
carried him from his Bronx home yesterday.
He had returned from a family trip to Guinea on Saturday
night. Five members of his family are being kept in quarantine inside their
apartment, law enforcement officials said.
A neighbour told the New York Post: 'He looked weak. He was
really, really out of it.'
Guinea is at the centre of the current Ebola outbreak in
West Africa with the first cases reported in south east Gueckedou region in
March. It has since grown into the largest ever outbreak of the disease.
