Buhari’s Jet Prevented From Landing In Makurdi Airport

A Chartered jet conveying former head of state and a leading candidate  of the opposition All progressives Congress (APC), retired General Muhammad Buhari was prevented from landing in Makurdi today around 1pm.

A source close to the general told Saharareporters that some 20 minutes before landing, the pilot was informed that the jet did not have permission to land in Makurdi, citing an order from above.

Attempts by General Buhari’s handlers to speak with aviation authorities failed as they claimed persons involved in reversing the order could no longer be reached by phone.

Minister of aviation, Osita Chidoka, claimed he was not aware of such developments.
