24-Hour Curfew Lifted In Yobe State


The Yobe State Government in collaboration  with security and law enforcement officials in Yobe State, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has lifted the 24-hour curfew imposed Tuesday, Dec. 2.

REVIEW OF CURFEW HOURS IN DAMATURU
This is to inform members of the general public that following discussions with heads of law enforcement agencies in the State in which the ongoing security efforts within Damaturu metropolis were reviewed, His Excellency Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has approved a review of the 24-hour curfew imposed earlier in the town today.

As from Wednesday 3rd December 2014, the curfew will start from 6.00PM to 7.00AM daily.
Members of the general public can therefore move freely between the hours of 7AM and 6.00PM as the curfew will start from 6.00PM daily.

Going forward, the curfew hours will be reviewed further on the basis of recommendations from the heads of law enforcement agencies in the State.

Members of the general public are kindly advised to comply with the new curfew hours.

His Excellency the governor also urges members of the public to continue to extend their support to and cooperation with security agents in their effort to ensure peace and security in the State.
